Program Information

Huntington Family Centers’ (HFC) Youth Program offers year round safe, structured programs for youth and teens (5-18). The program provides a stimulating, and inclusive environment where youth and teens of all abilities can form healthy relationships, receive academic support and tutoring, and foster asset development, life skills, and leadership. Programming includes educational and recreational activities, speakers and presentations, community outings and other enrichment opportunities. The ultimate goal of the program is to empower youth to engage in their own education and development, to realize their fullest potential, and to become valued and contributing members of the community.

Summer Camp

Huntington Family Centers operates a six-week summer camp for youth and teens in July and August. This free camp offers structured, social activities and a safe environment for Syracuse City youth. Youth and teens may engage in arts and crafts, field trips to state and county parks, and a host of physical, recreational, and enrichment activities.

Youth

Our afterschool program operates daily throughout the school year and is licensed and regulated by OCFS. Through this program youth will have opportunities to participate in various activities that promote academic support, physical play, social interaction, community exploration and creativity.

Teen/Tween

Teen programming is provided afterschool throughout the school year with a focus on asset development, prosocial recreational opportunities, community responsibility, and leadership.
