The goal of each of Huntington Family Centers’ senior programs is to reduce isolation and loneliness through outreach, linkages and support services so that each individual is able to experience their highest degree of independence. Services are provided in a manner that is least restrictive and respect individual cultural and ethnic heritage.

Senior service staff create an environment where seniors feel connected and have a sense of community, lessening feelings of isolation
- Education on healthy living
Senior service staff provide senior citizens with practical knowledge regarding health issues through training and presentations from health professionals
- Linkages to services and support networks
Services and support networks often make it possible for seniors to continue to live in their own homes
Coordinated and funded by a grant from the Department of Adult and Long Term Care Services, formerly the Department of Aging and Youth, the New York State Office for the Aging, and the U.S. Administration on Aging.
