YOUTH DEPARTMENT

Youth Resource Worker

(Full time with benefits)

Responsible for providing intensive support services to at risk youth with the goals of preventing involvement in the juvenile justice system, forming healthier relationships with key adults, increasing asset development, improving academic indicators and achieving identified goals.   Requirements:  a valid NYS driver’s license.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.  A high school diploma or equivalent or an Associate’s degree in a related field with at least 5 years of work experience in youth development/ adolescent case management will be considered. 

 

Summer Youth Specialist

(Full time – Seasonal)

Huntington Family Centers, Inc. is hiring for Youth Specialist positions in our summer camp program.  The Youth Specialist will assist in implementing summer camp activities and supervising youth ages 5-18.  The position is temporary, full time and runs for six weeks in the summer.  The successful candidate must have a high school diploma, a valid New York State Driver’s License, and experience working with youth/teens.  An Associate’s degree is preferred.

 

SENIOR SERVICES DEPARTMENT

Neighborhood Advisor

(Full time with benefits)

Responsible for outreach, advocacy, referrals, and linkages to supports and services for older adults that are living independently.  The successful candidate will be bilingual Spanish/English and have experience with and/or the ability to connect with seniors from diverse backgrounds.  Good verbal and written communication skills (bilingual Spanish/English) and a valid NYS Driver’s License are required.  A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred.  An Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma with 2-4 years of human service and case management experience with seniors would be considered.

 

EISEP Case Manager

(Full time with benefits)

Responsible for providing timely case management services to assist frail older adults.  The EISEP Case Manager coordinates formal and informal supports, conducts comprehensive assessments, and provides and/or arranges for necessary services to enable seniors to remain in the community.  A four-year college degree, an RN with 4 years of experience, or the equivalent of four years full time work and experience in geriatric case work or social work with community/social program(s) and a valid NYS Driver’s License is required.  EISEP Case Managers will also have knowledge of Onondaga Community services, familiarity with eligibility criteria, computer skills and reliable transportation.
